School Policies & Guidelines

• Admission of new students is made before the beginning of the academic session.
• Minimum age: 2½ years for Nursery, 3½ years for KG I. No child below 5½ years is admitted to Class I. A corresponding age scale applies to successive classes.
• No fee is refunded even if a pupil leaves immediately after admission.
• A pupil leaving mid-session is required to pay fees for the whole session.
• The Leaving Certificate is issued only once all dues to the school are paid in full.

• Regular tests and examinations are held throughout each academic year.
• Progress reports/paper files are shown to parents after every examination for review and signature.
• Pupils will not be permitted to appear for Terminal or Final exams unless all fees due are paid up to date.
• Results declared at year-end are final in all cases and will not be reconsidered.
• A pupil must secure at least 35% marks in each subject to be promoted.

• Pupils are expected to attend school on the reopening day after every vacation.
• Attendance at official functions — Republic Day, Independence Day, Sports Day, etc. — is compulsory.
• Pupils returning after a long illness or contagious disease must bring a doctor's fitness certificate.

• Fees are to be paid strictly on or before the last mentioned dates.
• Delay in payment beyond three months renders a pupil liable to be struck off the rolls.
• The school runs on a "No Grant Basis." Fees are collected by cash only.
• Admission Fee and Term Fees are paid at admission; Computer Education Fee before the first terminal exam; Tuition Fee in three instalments.

• Physical training, games, and sports are compulsory activities of the school curriculum.
• No pupil is exempted unless a medical certificate is produced; exempted pupils must remain in the assigned classroom.
• Medical and dental checkups are conducted; parents/guardians are asked to ensure children follow the doctor's instructions.
• First aid is available on campus for sudden illness or accidents during school hours.

• Parents/guardians must ensure children reach school in time and are collected promptly after the last bell. The school looks after children for a maximum of 30 minutes before and after school hours.
• Pupils must reach school 10 minutes before the first bell; late arrivals may be sent home at the parents' risk.
• Escorting children to and from school is the responsibility of parents/guardians. The school ensures safety only within school premises.
• Pupils are strictly forbidden from leaving school during hours without the principal's permission.
• Visitors may not interview teachers or children in classrooms during school hours; they should contact the school office instead.
• No child may leave class during class hours.
• No books other than school books may be brought without a teacher's sanction.

• Parents/guardians are requested to ensure children come neatly dressed, with shoes polished, and in time for school.
• Teachers may be interviewed on the days fixed by the school — every Saturday only — regarding a child's progress.
• Remarks from the Principal and teachers are made in the school diary; parents should check and sign them as proof of having noted them.
• Parents are requested not to give costly items — gold ornaments, wrist watches, money, etc. — to their child. The school does not accept responsibility for loss of such items.
• Once a child attends school, no child is permitted to go home during the day, for the child's security.
• Parents are asked to encourage children to speak in English — school efforts alone cannot achieve this without parental cooperation.

• All books and notebooks carry marks. Children must keep them properly covered, neat, and clean.
• Pupils must bring textbooks and notebooks according to their timetable.
